Betty is an elderly foster dog from Old Dog Haven, part Lab, part Beagle and part Basset Hound. She adores walks in the rain, belly rubs and more than anything, playing fetch. Food matters. We do not know exactly how old she is, and neither does she. Like most senior dogs, she is losing eyesight and mobility and gaining weight and gray hair. But she has proven over and over that you are never too old to make new friends, try new things, or learn new tricks. Forever optimistic, she lives in the moment, every moment. Mostly though she is not afraid to express her opinion. This blog, from the Dog Aging Project, is named in her honor. Our goal is to inform, inspire and entertain. If you are a dog person, this is the place for you.
